Following the analysis of teacher and parent surveys on the problems affecting education, the MELT partnership went on analysing and comparing official documents (legislation about the teaching profession in the partner countries, ethical codes etc) and worked on a proposal for the profile of the European teacher.
The European teacher's competences were divided into 2 areas, KNOW and KNOW-HOW, each area containing 5 main competences. Each competence was described through 3 indicators, thus offering teachers and education stakeholders concrete measuring standards.
The project's findings were illustrated during the MELT dissemination conference and webinar organised by Mater Boni Consilii School on May 21st 2021.
