One of the aims of the METAMINDS partnership has been to create a teacher training course on metacognitive competences.

The METAMINDS Teachers’ protocol, a self-training tool accessible through the link provided here below, consists of five parts: an introduction and four parts on the four areas which the METAMINDS research has identified as pivotal for the development of metacognitive skills: Cognitive architectures, Self-reporting, Emotions in knowledge and Meta-reflective strategies.

Scientific articles, interactive questionnaires, slides and video presentations, case studies are presented on a moodle platform.

The course material is not meant to be exhaustive about the covered topics; it is in fact a starting point that will hopefully help teacher pose questions and trigger further investigation, as well as help education professionals gain greater awareness about relevant issues about teaching and learning.
